Baking Simply Pies Pie Shells

For Single Crust Pies or Quiches

  1. Preheat oven according to your recipe.
  2. Remove pie crust from freezer.
  3. Pour filling into crust, and bake as your recipe directs.

For Double Crust Pies

  1. Preheat oven according to your recipe.
  2. Remove pie crusts from freezer, allow to thaw.
  3. Pour filling into crust. Brush edge of crust with water.
  4. Take second thawed crust out of pan and place over pie filling, press edges together to seal.
  5. Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

Optional: Brush pie with a small amount of cream then sprinkle with sugar.

For No Bake Pies

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Prick bottom and sides with a fork all over the pie crust.
  3. Bake empty pie crust in preheated oven on center rack until golden brown around the edges about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven, let cool and pour the no bake filling of your choice into the pie crust.
Product will be very hot. Use caution when handling. Individual ovens may vary. Baking instructions should be used as a guideline.
